Dawe Run celebrates 40 years

Over 5000 students participated in the 40th Dawe Run on Tuesday.

The run took public and Catholic students in grades 4 – 12 along a scenic route through the river valley, starting at Heritage Ranch and finishing up at Bower Ponds.

 

Close to 2,000 local job seekers are anticipated to check out the Central Alberta Job Fair taking place at the Pidherney Curling Centre in Red Deer Thursday which runs until 6 pm.

Job fair held in Red Deer amid 'patiently optimistic' hiring climate

Nearly 60 exhibitors were on hand for the Central Alberta Job Fair Thursday at the Pidherney Curling Centre in Red Deer.

The RCMP, CN Rail, Sanjel and Precision Drilling were among those seeking to attract new employees at the event.

St. Elizabeth Seton School celebrates new playground

Students and staff at St. Elizabeth Seton School in Red Deer celebrated the official grand opening of their new playground on Thursday.

Principal Sinead Armstrong says it’s a much-needed addition to their school which has grown considerably over the past two years.
