The Regina Pats never led in Friday night's game against the Red Deer Rebels, yet they still wound up earning two points and the win.

Rebels gear up for a big weekend on home ice

RED DEER- The Red Deer Rebels find themselves in a tight playoff race with 19 games left in the season.

The team is trying to bounce back from a three-game losing streak with games Friday and Saturday versus the Regina Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors.

"Lazy hockey" stymies the Rebels against surging Hitmen

Simply put, it was not a fun night for the Red Deer Rebels or their fans at the Westerner Park Centrium on Saturday.

In what was the final of eight meetings between the Rebels and Calgary Hitmen, the home-side would come up short by a final score of 5-1.
