RCMP have two suspects in custody and are looking for a third after a pair of violent home invasions in Rocky Mountain House on Boxing Day.

Mounties say the first one happened around 9:15 a.m. December 26 where one man is alleged to have assaulted three people inside a residence and robbed them.

Around 45 minutes later, police say three people forced their way into another residence in Rocky and assaulted the homeowner with a weapon, unlawfully confined them and robbed them as well.

On December 29, Rocky Mountain House RCMP along with the RCMP Calgary Emergency Response Team searched two different residences in the town and arrested several people. Guns stolen from one of the home invasions were recovered, along with other offence-related property.

Three people have been charged, including 30-year-old Rickie Wapoose Cardinal of Rocky Mountain House who faces 31 counts. He faces charges of Robbery, Break and Enter, Uttering Threats, Assault with a Weapon, Extortion and Unlawful Confinement among others.

Keehoo Rick Cardinal, 35, of no-fixed-address and Shanel Brodersen, 26, of Rocky Mountain House each face 10 counts, including Robbery, Break and Enter, Extortion, Unlawful Confinement, Uttering Threats and Assault with a weapon among others.

Police have determined that all of the individuals involved in these home invasions are known to each other.

Rickie Cardinal and Shanel Brodersen have been remanded in custody for a court appearance in Rocky Mountain House on January 3, 2018, while Mounties continue to search for Keehoo Cardinal.

If you know where Keeohoo Cardinal is or have any information regarding these home invasions, contact Rocky Mountain House RCMP at 403-845-2882 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
