Some jail time and a hefty fine was given to two men charged in connection to a $500,000 property bust of last year.

38-year-old John Kidd, of Rocky Mountain House, and 29-year-old Kacie Savoie, of Calgary, faced 30 joint property-related offences.

According to local Mounties, on September 28, 2016, Rocky RCMP executed a search warrant for stolen goods at a property in Clearwater County where they found 16 brand new quads, snowmobiles, 3 new RVs, 2 trailers, 1 low boy flat deck trailer, 5 used trucks, and several firearms.  Most items were stolen out of Calgary.

The duo had a preliminary hearing in Rocky Mountain House court on October 24, 2017. Kidd was given a $2,000 fine plus a $600 surcharge, and Savoie was handed a 90 day jail sentence as well as a $200 fine.
