The Rocky Chamber of Commerce will be receiving a $30,000 grant from Clearwater County.
The decision was made by councillors at their Tuesday regular meeting where the money will either come from contingencies or elsewhere.

"I think we should support this as a grant" said Reeve John Vandermeer.
Last month Town council approved to give $15,000 to the Chamber with a payment plan in place. The money will go towards paying basic expenses, keeping the lights on and paying invoices.

"The Chamber is the first point of contact for newcomers" says Jerry Pratt, Community Relations Advisor with Clearwater County.
The Chamber originally came to both councils at the beginning of October asking for a total of $60,000 to help recoup losses as they feared a significant deficit that could've jeopardized the existence of the Chamber's presence in 2018.
