Bucs shoot down Stars to solidify second place

The battle for second place in the Alberta Football League was a one-sided one.

The Central Alberta Buccaneers crushed the St. Albert Stars 56-8 Saturday night at Great Chief Park. The Bucs improved to 4-1 on the season while St. Albert fell to 3-2.

McDowell cruises to victory at Alberta Junior Golf Championship

Chandler McDowell left everyone in his dust this week at the Alberta Junior and Juvenile Championship.

The Red Deer native and Innisfail Golf Club member fired a final round score of 66 on Friday, draining eight birdies along the way, to win the junior title by eleven strokes.

Playoff decides Innisfail Junior Open

Chase Bodoano birdied the first playoff hole to win Tuesday’s Innisfail Junior Open.

It was the first victory on the McLennan Ross Junior Golf Tour for the 18-year-old from Sherwood Park as he edged Broadmoor golf clubmate Mitch Desjarlais.
