A local police officer, Nicole Buchanan says she can bring a unique voice to Red Deer Public school board.
The mother of two and former Red Deer Public Schools student says her main reason for running is safety and security in schools.
“I think there’s some room for or a need to address those concerns. The safety and security of children in Red Deer is a huge concern for me and working in policing. I have gotten to see many different issues that affect young people,” says the Chief’s Live Saving Award recipient. “I think I can bring some of that knowledge to the Red Deer Public school board.”
Buchanan has been a resident of Red Deer since 1998.
