St. Francis of Assisi Middle School students are pleased to showcase the production Annie Jr. for both matinee and evening performances at the Memorial Centre (4214 – 58 Street). The matinee shows will be on February 14 and 15 at 12:00 p.m. The evening shows will be on February 15 and 16 with the doors opening at 6:45 p.m. and performances starting at 7:15 p.m.

There will be rehearsal performances on February 11 and 12 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the school. Media are welcome to attend.

“The performing arts allows students to capture, create moments and explore their character’s role. Through these performances, students get to build upon their creativity and confidence,” said Director Robert Ford, at St. Francis of Assisi Middle School.

Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the door or the school office.

Annie Jr. is based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical. With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
