CP Holiday Train stop in Lacombe supports local food bank efforts
Residents are advised that the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, with performers Terri Clark, Sierra Noble and Kelly Prescott, arrives in Lacombe at 2 p.m. on December 9, 2018.
The train will stop alongside the Len Thompson Fish Pond for a free music concert, which begins at 2:15 p.m. to benefit the Lacombe Food Bank.
“I encourage all holiday train event attendees to bring healthy, non-perishable food items to the show,” said Mayor Grant Creasey. “All food and monetary donations collected at the event will stay in the community to help feed those in need.”
Since parking in the area is limited, Enforcement Services and the Lacombe Police Service advise those who wish to attend the event to park in the Lionel’s No Frills grocery store parking lot and take the free BOLT shuttle bus to the concert location from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
