77 Street to close Tuesday for railway crossing removal

77 Street will close on Tuesday while the last remaining railway crossing is removed from the roadway.

CN Rail, in coordination with The City, will be removing the track and ties from the crossing on 77 Street between 45 Avenue and 42 Avenue. 77 Street will be closed on Tuesday, July 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate removal of rails, ties and ballast, and accompanying road re-construction.

Traffic will be detoured using Gaetz Avenue and 67 Street or Riverside Drive.

Electronic message boards will be in place to direct traffic during construction.
