May 23, 2018 | 7:53 AM

The Foods 35 class at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School will be taking over the Tribe Restaurant (4930B 50 Street, Red Deer) on Thursday, May 24 for both lunch and supper services (11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) and (5:00 – 10:00 p.m.). The menu will be Italian with all proceeds will go to the Sylvan Lake Community Food Bank.

The restaurant takeover is a way for students to learn through project-based learning and supporting their local community.

“Taking over a restaurant teaches students a variety of skills, including time management, organization, entrepreneurship and communication. This event teaches students the role of a business owner, by considering everything from their target audience, how to market/advertise and make a profit,” said Foods Teacher, Jeff Lerouge at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School.

Those who would like to attend the restaurant takeover should make a reservation as there is limited space. To make a reservation, please contact Jeff Lerouge at jeff.lerouge@rdcrs.ca.
