MEGlobal offering funding for local community projects

May 7, 2018 | 11:36 AM

Organizations contributing to central Alberta’s sustainability and well-being are getting a boost from a global company with a local focus.

Officials with MEGlobal, a local petrochemical company , is offering non-profits the opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 in funding for projects that contribute environmentally, economically or socially to communities throughout central Alberta.

“Even though we are a global company, we’re also part of the local community and we believe in giving back,” says David Miller, MEGlobal Prentiss Site Leader in a press release. “We want to support organizations that are implementing projects that make our communities even better places to live, work and play.”

Officials say a funding allocation committee of MEGlobal leaders and employees will meet on May 15 to distribute the first round of funding for the year, while additional funds will be doled out later this year.
