West Area construction ongoing in Lacombe

Mar 25, 2019 | 10:04 AM

Lacombe residents are being advised that there could be construction delays along Fairway Drive this week.

Work is being done there to connect a new water main to the existing water supply line on 58 Street.

Construction is planned to start Monday, March 25 and ia anticipated to take one week, weather permitting.

Road closures and detours will be in place, Garden Road being used as an alternate access.

On-street parking and driveway access within the area will be restricted.

Hours of construction are from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Additional evening and Sunday work may also be required depending on the weather.

The City also began installing a new sanitary main at the west end of Woodland Drive over the weekend. The gravel access road there will be closed until that construction is complete. It was expected to take two to three days.
