Sutter Fund Chiefs hosting bantam elite provincials

The Red Deer Bantam Elite Sutter Fund Chiefs host Provincials starting Thursday at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Game action gets underway at 10 a.m. with Calgary Red taking on North Central.

Red Deer plays at 2:30 p.m. versus Calgary White.

Lloydminster rounds out the field for the five-team tournament.

The Chiefs won four straight playoff games and eight of their last nine heading into provincials. They finished the regular season with a 12-9-5 record, good for third place in the Alberta Female Hockey League South Division.
