48 Ave. closed from 45 to 46 St. starting Wednesday

RED DEER- Water and sewer service installations will cause a portion of 48 Avenue between 45 Street and 46 Street to close for more than a week starting Wednesday, March 20 until Friday, March 29.

City officials say there will be no through traffic for the duration of the closure and traffic will be detoured to 47A Avenue or 49 Avenue.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when driving in construction zones and obey all signs, and pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.

All road construction is weather dependent and schedules may be subject to change.
