Red Deer snow zone plowing to continue this week

City crews are continuing their snow zone plowing efforts throughout Red Deer this week.

Officials say the schedule for March 11 – 15 will have crews plowing green routes in Zone A on Mar. 11 and grey routes in Zone J Mar. 11 and 12.

On Mar. 12 and 13, crews will move onto green routes in Zone B, with more green route plowing to take place in Zone C on Mar. 13, 14 and 15.

Grey route snow removal is scheduled to take place in Zone K on Mar. 13, Zone A, Mar. 14 and Zone B on Mar. 15.

City officials remind residents schedules are dependent on weather and other conditions, and may be subject to change.

Parking restrictions are also in place during plowing in each Snow Zone and residents are encouraged to use off-street parking.

If they wish to park on the street, they can park their cars on an alternate route. During green route plowing, residents can park on grey routes and during grey route plowing, residents can park on green routes.

In addition, during green route plowing, residents will find no-parking signs along the street.

Parking restrictions are in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday while plowing is scheduled, and vehicles left on the street will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

During grey route plowing, residents will notice signs at the entrance to their neighbourhood.

Parking restrictions are not in effect on weekends.
