Recycled tires will be used for the upcoming Rocky Mountain House Spray Park and amenities.

Officials say this project insures hundreds of scrap tires will be diverted from landfills and will be made into innovative recycled tire products for the communities use.

The Alberta Recycling Management Authority has approved a maximum of thirty thousand dollars for the Town of Rocky Mountain House through its 2019 Municipal Demonstration Grant.

Since the inception of the Tire Recycling Program in 1992, 116 million tires have been recycled and the benefits continue to roll back into communities across Alberta through the program.
