Kings, Queens volleyball teams fall in provincials play

It was a tough start to provincials for RDC Kings and Queens Volleyball teams as both dropped their opening matches Thursday.
The Kings took the first two sets in their first game of the ACAC Men’s Volleyball Championship against Augustana. They were edged in the third set and momentum swung as Augustana would go on to win the fourth set, and then the fifth set 15-12 to take the match.
The Augustana Vikings now advance to the semi-finals where they will face the winner of the Briercrest Clippers and Keyano Huskies game. The RDC Kings will play the loser of Briercrest and Keyano.
On the women’s side, the Queens also fell to Augustana. The Vikings took the first two sets, RDC would fight back to take the third, 25-19, but would drop the fourth 28-26, and lost.
