Extreme cold warning ended

Feb 18, 2019 | 7:18 AM

Family Day is turning out to be a frigid one for much of the province as an extreme cold warning was in effect Monday morning. But some relief in the form of warmer temperatures should be on the way soon.

Monday’s forecast high for Red Deer is -15 Celsius, according to Environment Canada. But when you factor in the wind chill it will feel more like -28 in the afternoon.

The forecast for Tuesday calls for a high of -5 with wind chill of -22 in the morning and -9 in the afternoon.

Then on Wednesday it’s expected to be cloudy with a high of -8.
