School bus cancellations Feb. 11

Due to extreme cold warnings throughout much of Alberta, school bus service is cancelled on Monday Feb. 11 for Parkland School in Red Deer but the school is open.

School bus service for the community of Rocky Mountain House is also cancelled today. The routes cancelled are for Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools and they include S-56, S-57 & S-58 and S-24 for the morning only, due to mechanical issues.

Elsewhere, Red Deer Catholic route S-35 is delayed by about 30 minutes, while S-11 is on route but delayed about 5 minutes. Other Red Deer Catholic routes delayed include S-48 which is delayed about 10 minutes and S-67 delayed about 5 minutes.

All other routes are running on time.

Please note however that all schools are open.

In the Chinook’s Edge School Division, Innisfail route I-02 Jeff is cancelled this morning due to mechanical issues. It will run this afternoon. Also, I-06 Linda Braun is cancelled this morning due to mechanical issues. It too will run this afternoon. Route IU-01 – Donna is also cancelled this morning but will run this afternoon.

In the Wolf Creek Public School District, route L05 driven by Debbie B. is delayed 5- 8 minutes due to a train.

Also, all Wild Rose School Division buses are cancelled for Monday, February 11, 2019.

There are no other school bus cancellations to make note of in central Alberta at this time.
