Drayton Valley “Pulling Together” once more

Everything old is new again in the Town of Drayton Valley.

At their regular meeting this week council passed a resolution to make “Pulling Together” the official tagline of Drayton Valley, a motto The Town previously used from October 2004 until July 2016 when council opted to use “Powered By” and 12 accompanying words as part of a new rebranding process.

However, council expressed its desire last year to move back to the “Pulling Together” tagline and to use it on Town communication pieces such as business cards and other documents where appropriate.

Officials say administration conducted an inventory of all documents where “Powered By” was used to determine the impacts this would create in having documents updated. Administration concluded though the cost would be minimal to have items such as business cards updated.

It’s hoped the tagline “Pulling Together” will help instill a sense of pride and community for Drayton Valley residents and business, in addition to a strong sense of belonging.
