RCMP Report January 31 – February 5, 2019

2019-01-31 @ 1:45 P.M. – Complaint of a male & female attempting to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at a Caroline business.

2019-01-31 @ 1:59 P.M. – Complaint of a suspicious white Chevrolet pickup truck at a residence near Highway 12, Clearwater County. Vehicle fled when confronted by the home owner.

2019-01-31 @ 8:56 P.M. – 911 call of an impaired driver on Range Road 6-3 and Township Road 41-4, Clearwater County swerving into oncoming lane. Member attended and located the vehicle which had been pulled out of the ditch by a tow truck. The driver failed the mandatory alcohol screening and was subsequently given a roadside suspension and charged with not having insurance.

2019-01-31 @ 9:06 P.M. – Assault reported on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Under investigation

2019-02-02 @ 00:44 A.M. – Report of a loud party at a Rocky Mountain House Trailer Court. Police attended and the home owner turned down the music.

2019-02-02 @5:07 A.M. – Theft of a blue 2005 Ford F350 diesel pickup truck (Alberta licence plate BYV5900) from a local Rocky Mountain House motel.

2019-02-02 @ 8:56 A.M. – Call of an intoxicated individual being aggressive and throwing things around at a residence on O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested the adult male who was lodged in cells until sober.

2019-02-02 @ 11:00 A.M. – Break and enter reported at a residence in Caroline. 

2019-02-03 @ 9:04 A.M.  Report received after a passerby had spotted papers and a briefcase in the ditch near Range Road 6-5 & Township Road 39-4, Clearwater County.  The owner was contacted and after checking his residence, it was discovered that it had been broken into. Under investigation

2019-02-03 @10:10 A.M. – Police attended a residence in Clearwater County after receiving a complaint of an assault. An adult male was arrested. Under investigation

2019-02-03 @ 3:58 P.M. – Report of an intoxicated male causing problems at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested the individual and lodged him in cells until sober.

2019-02-03 @ 6:43 P.M. – Report of a vehicle in the ditch in Rocky Mountain House with nobody around. Police attended and discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Red Deer. The Vehicle was towed and owner advised.

2019-02-04 @ 8:01 P.M. – Theft of a 2012 black Dodge pickup truck, (Alberta licence plate BMV-3195), stolen from complainant’s place of work in Rocky Mountain House. The keys were in the locked, running vehicle.

2019-02-04 @ 9:44 A.M. – Complaint of fraud after the complainant attempted to purchase a vehicle on Kijiji. The seller claimed numerous people were interested in the vehicle and a down payment was required. When the complainant made the payment, he was unable to contact the seller thereafter. Under investigation.

2019-02-04 @ 2:15 P.M. – Break and enter reported to a trailer at an RV park west of Caroline.

2019-02-05 @ 2:11 A.M. – Police stopped a vehicle in Rocky Mountain House with a burnout headlight. As the vehicle slowed to a stop the driver and passenger switched spots. The driver/passenger was subsequently arrested for “obstruction” and as a result of a search, baggies of cocaine, meth, weapons and a scale, were discovered. Charges are pending.
