Rocky Mountain House RCMP report for Jan. 9-18, 2019

Here is the weekly report from Rocky Mountain House RCMP for Jan. 9-18, 2019:

2019-01-10 @ 2:26 P.M. – Theft of liquor from Rocky Mountain House liquor store. Male subject grabbed a 40oz bottle of vodka and put it in the female’s purse and then they purchased an inexpensive item and left the store without paying for the vodka. Under investigation

2019-01-10 @ 4:58 P.M. – Job site broken into at site west of Caroline. Fuel stolen from vehicles

2019-01-10 @ 11:47 P.M. – Black 2008 Ford Escape (Alberta licence plate YKV392) stolen from Rocky Mountain House convenience store while the owner was inside.

2019-01-11 @ 8:28 A.M. – Vehicle broken into while parked at Rocky Mountain House motel overnight. Snowboard, clothing, and documents stolen.

2019-01- 11 @ 5:09 P.M. – Complaint of a male sleeping in the entry way of local Rocky Mountain House bank. Police attended and sent the subject on his way.

2019-01-11 @ 7:55 P.M. – Report of an assault on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police attended and spoke to the male victim who was transported to the hospital by EMS.  Police arrested an adult female at another residence for outstanding warrants. The victim refused to cooperate with police. No further charges laid.

2019-01-12 @ 6:02 A.M. – Complaint of a male, wearing all black and an “Ironman” mask, drinking beer in the parking lot of a Rocky Mountain House convenience store. Police conducted vehicle and foot patrols but he was not located. 

2019-01-12 @ 9:54 A.M. – Vehicle broken into overnight while parked at residence in Rocky Mountain House. Clothing, chargers and fuel cards stolen.

2019-01-12 @ 12:01 P.M. – Assault reported on the Sunchild First Nation. Under investigation

2019-01-12 @ 2:00 P.M. – While on patrol, police recovered two stolen vehicles at one residence and then 2 more at another residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Vehicles towed and owners contacted. Under investigation

2019-01-13 @ 5:09 A.M. – Call of a suspicious vehicle on an approach to a lease site northwest of Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and arrested a subject who had outstanding warrants. The vehicle had slid off the road into the ditch.

2019-01-13 @ 12:45 P.M. – Vehicle broken into at residence in Rocky Mountain House. Wallet stolen

2019-01-13 @ 5:20 P.M. – Assault reported at a residence in Rocky Mountain House. Under investigation

2019-01-13 @ 9:09 P.M. – Suspicious male rummaging in box of neighbor’s pickup truck at residence on the north side of Rocky Mountain House.

2019-01-14 @ 8:10 A.M. – 2005 burgundy Ford F350 diesel (Alberta licence plate ESP-499) stolen from residence in Rocky Mountain House overnight.

2019-01-14 @ 10:12 A.M. – Complaint of harassment via social media messages.  Adult male located, charged and released for a later court date. 

2019-01-14 @ 12:49 P.M. – Complaint of a dog chasing cars on Range Road 6-3 / Highway 11. Patrols made. Dog not located

2019-01-14 @ 12:54 P.M. – Theft from oil lease site southwest of Rocky Mountain House.

2019-01-14 @ 3:03 P.M. – Theft from oil lease site south of Rocky Mountain House. Gate locks cut and approximately 80 feet of ground cable stolen.

2019-01-15 @ 4:45 A.M. – Call of an intoxicated male individual repeatedly ringing the doorbell at an apartment in Rocky Mountain House. He fled prior to police arrival.

2019-01-15 @ 1:11 P.M. – Complaint of an assault which occurred at a Rocky Mountain House business. Under investigation.

2019-01-15 @ 2:44 P.M. – Complaint of a suspicious vehicle west of Dovercourt Hall. Red mini-van with occupants claiming to be broken down. Police attended and dealt with the subjects.

2019-01-15 @ 7:10 P.M. –2018 black Dodge Ram (Alberta licence plate K34240 ), with slip tank, stolen from Sunchild Store.

2019-01-17 @ 3:59 A.M. – Report of a suspicious black pickup truck, running with lights off, on complainant’s property on intersection Highway 761. Police attended but the vehicle fled.
