The Red Deer Rebels stood pat on WHL Trade Deadline day on Wednesday, outside of one move involving a non-roster player.

The Rebels sent the rights to 17-year-old defenceman Nic Draffin to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a seventh round selection in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft.

Draffin, who is from Lethbridge, is currently playing for the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL. He was drafted by the Rebels in round three (46th overall) of the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Rebels continue their three-game road trip Friday night when they take on the Brandon Wheat Kings (6 p.m. on 106.7 THE DRIVE).
