Man injured in single-vehicle crash

A 40-year-old man was flown to hospital in Edmonton following an off highway single vehicle collision.

The collision occurred at around 4 p.m. 52 miles southwest of Caroline.

Crews from the Caroline Fire Department, Caroline EMS, Rocky Mountain House RCMP, Rocky Search and Rescue and Alberta Fish and Wildlife responded assist.

It was a time consuming process due to the area of the incident, officials say, with crews finally able to reach the injured man at around 9 p.m.

The extent of the man’s injuries is unknown at this time. His name has not been released.
