Health Foundation raises 80,000 dollars for heart monitors
The Rocky Mountain House Health Foundation recently set a goal to raise $75,000 for new equipment. They ended up raising $80,000.
The money will go to purchasing three fetal heart monitors which will help manage labor and deliver babies at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre. Officials say the monitors will enhance care by helping healthcare providers make the best decisions.
The monitors have been ordered and are expected to be in use by the end of January.
“The foundation chose to purchase these monitors to replace the current ones, as they are 11 years old and are no longer serviceable due to age,” says Michelle Meatheringham, Foundation Coordinator.
