School playgrounds need replacing: Wild Rose

Dec 19, 2018 | 9:50 AM

Wild Rose School Division says it has several playgrounds that are aging and are in desperate need of replacement.

With a tight budget and no dedicated funding provided by the provincial government to maintain existing play structures, the Division finds it extremely difficult to adequately maintain its current structures.

Several of the Division’s aging structures have required a number of repairs over the years. Officials say it is often difficult to source parts to complete repairs because of the age of the structures.

The division’s three highest priority playground projects are Condor School, Eldorado School in Drayton Valley and Lochearn School in Rocky Mountain House.
