Drayton Valley Weekly RCMP Report: Nov. 29 – Dec. 6

November 29

12:09 pm – Drayton Valley, Poplar Ridge Trailer Court – Theft from vehicle – Report of theft of Kodak Easyshare camera in a blue bag and a pink wallet with ID along with a black cup style piggy bank stolen from their vehicle.

3:42 pm – Drayton Valley, Wal Mart – Hit and Run – Complainant reporting their red 2008 Volkswagen was hit while parked in the Wal Mart parking lot. Damage to passenger side door and door handle.

November 30

4:49 am – Drayton Valley Landfill – Theft – Report of theft of pressure washer and other items from Landfill building.

12:53 pm – Drayton Valley, Independent Grocers – Hit and Run – Complainant reports observing a Green GMC truck hit a white car. An older male got out looked at the car then drove away. Licence plate provided of suspect vehicle.

3:14 pm – Drayton Valley, 49 Avenue – Theft of Bicycle – Report of theft of old fashioned retro style red bicycle stolen from yard sometime over the past 10 days. 

4:25 pm – Drayton Valley, Canadian Tire Parking Lot – Damage to vehicle – Complainant reports that while parked at the Canadian Tire parking lot someone keyed their 2018 Ford Explorer.

8:02 pm – Drayton Valley, Econorest – Assault – Members called to a report of an assault. Upon attendance, spoke with both parties. No assault, an argument. Parties were separated for the night.

11:41 pm – Drayton Valley, Westwinds – Animal Calls – Report of 6 dogs have been left in a cage in the back of a grey Toyota truck. Members attended and spoke with owner. 

December 1

8:21 am – Drayton Valley, Westwinds – Theft from vehicle – Complainant repots that someone broke into their 2016 Dodge Ram. Passenger window broken, damage to leather seats. 

9:12 am – Drayton Valley, 56 Street – Damage to vehicle – Report of damage to vehicle at approximately 12:30 a.m. Complainant was picking up a friend when a known male threw a case of monster energy drinks at their vehicle causing damage to the rear passenger side of vehicle.

11:35 am – Brazeau County – Report of a couple of sheds containing classroom supplies were broken into and several items were stolen.

4:24 pm – Drayton Valley, 49 Street – Suspicious Odour – Report of a Suspicious odour in a complex. Fire responded, no gas leak. Members attended and checked out all areas. Rotten food etc responsible for the odour.

4:26 pm – Drayton Valley, 43 Street – Theft from vehicle – Complainant reported having tools stolen from the back canopy of their truck  Tools located in Frank Maddock Football field. 

10:46 pm – Drayton Valley, Chimo Place – Uttering Threats – Members called to a dispute between a man and a woman. Members spoke with both parties and separated them for the night.

11:12 pm – Brazeau County, Pembina Ski Club – Party – Report of a party with underage kids drinking. Members attended location and located approximately 20 teenagers having a fire. Designated driver was there. Members advised them to put the fire out and depart. 

December 2

3:39 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Street – Impaired Driving – Member on patrol initiated a traffic stop. Driver arrested and charged for impaired driving.

December 3

5:50 am – Drayton Valle Landfill – Break and Enter – Report of one of the buildings at the landfill was broken into. Windows broken and doors forced open. 

8:21 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Street – Theft of truck – Complainant reports that they were clearing snow and left the vehicle running. White 2009 Chev 1 ton with flatdeck was stolen. Recovered the following day at the Home Away Inn. Tool box had been broken into.

9:37 am – Parkland County – Neighbour dispute – Report of an assault which occurred November 30. Ongoing issue

10:17 am – Drayton Valley, 53 Street – Theft from trailer – Report of break and enter to enclosed trailer. Once inside, suspects stole tools.

10:30 am – Drayton Valley, Source Store – Theft – Report of theft of Apple TV from Source Store. Known suspect.

11:02 am – Drayton Valley, Source Store – Shoplifting – Report of theft of Beats X Headphones. Known suspect

2:09 pm – Drayton Valley, Greenwood Trailer Court – Theft – Complainant reports someone accessed their bank account online and attempted to transfer funds. Complainant noticed transfer prior to bank releasing funds.

December 4

9:19 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Avenue – Mischief and theft– Complainant reports extension cord in yard had been cut and taken along with another 100 feet of a heavier extension cord.

5:55 pm – Drayton Valley, Royal Bank – Theft of truck – Report of theft of 2018 Green GMC truck with “ironside integrity” had been taken. Vehicle had been left running with the keys in it.  

6:15 pm – Drayton Valley 48 Avenue – Unwanted person – Request members attend residence to remove family member who has broken the front door. Members attended location, unwanted male had already left.

December 5

7:45 am – Drayton Valley, 45 Avenue – Break and Enter – Report of a Break and Enter to residence.  Neighbour calling and reporting lights are on in the residence and they should not be.  Members attended and cleared the residence. No one there.

8:06 am – Drayton Valley, 53 Avenue – Mischief to Trailer – Complainant reporting a break and enter to their travel trailer.   They noticed the door on the trailer was wide open and footprints leading from the trailer to the neighbour’s garage. Nothing taken

9:32 am – Drayton Valley – Fraud – Complainant reports that they replied to an email to upgrade their apple account password. Complainant provided Visa number, SIN and Drivers Licence information. Apple Contacted complainant. Credit card cancelled and all agencies required notified.

10:01 am  – Brazeau county – Abandoned vehicle – Report of an abandoned vehicle.  Member attended, vehicle had been reported stolen the previous day.

10:36 am – Drayton Valley, 54 Avenue – Damage to property – Report of damage to their Chevrolet Suburban. Window had been broken. Tie Down straps on ATV had been cut as well. 

11:46 am – Brazeau county – Theft of Copper Wire – Report of a break and enter to building and copper wire stolen.
