Drunken man caught with stolen truck, weapons in Innisfail

A man arrested for being drunk and disorderly at a lounge in Innisfail faces a lengthy list of charges.

At about 11:45 Tuesday morning Innisfail RCMP received a complaint of a male highly intoxicated at the Super 8 motel in Innisfail.

RCMP arrived a found the male inside the lounge area at the motel and found to be on conditions not to be in a licenced premise. He was arrested in possession of a key belonging to a vehicle in the parking lot that police say was stolen. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous suspected stolen items as well as weapons and illegal substances. 

Kent Leigh Nichol, 39, of Red Deer County has been charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of a firearm, seven counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to public, 21 counts of possession of firearm/ammo contrary to prohibition, possession of stolen property over $5000, six counts of possession of stolen property under $5000, possession of break in tools, eight counts of breach probation and four counts of possession of ID documents.
