Drayton Valley RCMP Weekly Report: Nov. 22 – 29

November 22

2:51 pm – Drayton Valley, 53 Avenue – Hit and Run- Complainant parked their truck on the street, when they returned to the vehicle they noted damage to the front end.

8:40 pm – Drayton Valley, B & B Liquor Store – Shoplifting – Report of 4 men approximately 20 years old entered the store, grabbed 3 bottles of Vodka and ran away. Suspects took off in a grey jeep type vehicle.

10:03 pm – Parkland County – Fraud – Complainant reports purchasing feed for horses, paid $300, however never received the feed. Complainant has made several attempts to contact person, however they are refusing to reimburse the money.

November 23

7:46 am – Drayton Valley, 47 Avenue – Theft of truck – Report of theft of 2009 White Dodge 3500 Crew Cab Truck with Carepath Mulching on the door from back alley. Vehicle had been left running and unlocked.

9:34 am – Drayton Valley, 49 Avenue – Damage to vehicle – Complainant states that sometime between November 22 at 10 pm and 6 am this morning, someone broke the side mirror on their 2004 tan GMC Sierra.

2:28 pm – Brazeau county – Break and Enter to Shed – Report of a break and enter to a storage shed. Items stolen from grader stored inside.

3:30 pm – Drayton Valley, Centre Court – Theft from vehicle – Report of theft of pink PUMA backpack with black writing stolen from their vehicle. Access gained through previously broken window which had been covered with cardboard.

6:55 pm – Drayton Valley, Wal Mart – Shoplifting – Report of a male with short buzzed hair entered store and stole a baby monitor worth $297. Suspect is also the subject of two other complaints from the previous day. Left in an older black ford explorer.

November 24

12:00 midnight – Rocky Rapids – Suspicious vehicle – Report of a white Chevrolet 2 door extended cab truck with tinted windows and a white metal militia decal in the back has been driving by the houses in the neighbourhood, several times over the past two nights.

6:10 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Street – Theft – Report of theft of rifle from 1999 Ford F150. Side window broken on truck. Rifle was unloaded .22, also stolen was approximately 200 rounds of ammunition and a camo clothing jacket.

November 25

12:35 am – Drayton Valley, Fas Gas – suspicious person – Member on patrol observed a man lurking around the Independent Grocery Store. Member located the suspect near Fas Gas. He had multiple warrants from Drayton Valley and Calgary.

2:53 pm – Drayton Valley, Getzingers Autobody – Theft from vehicle – Report of theft from vehicle while parked. Windows broken and light bar stolen from 2013 White Dodge Ram Truck.

6:20 pm – Drayton Valley, Greenwood Trailer Park – Hit and Run – Report that someone in a white Pontiac 4 door had backed into their fence and left. Vehicle located later on. Registered owner charged with not reporting the collision and having an uninsured vehicle

11:21 pm – Drayton Valley, 52 Avenue – Disturbance – Report of a fight outside the OCT. Members attended and spoke with one of the individuals involved, deemed to be a mutual fight.

November 26

3:15 am – Tomahawk, 50 Avenue – suspicious person – Report of an unknown person in their yard. Members attended, footprints followed, person not located.

5:57 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Avenue – Suspicious person – Report of a male sleeping in the vestibule at TD Canada Trust. Would like them removed.

7:42 am – Drayton Valley, 34 Avenue – Break, enter and theft – Report of break and enter to valley concrete shop. White 2012 Ford F450 stolen.

8:12 am – Brazeau County – Hit and Run – Report of a blue dodge with a flat deck attempted to get by the complainants parked vehicle. Hit the vehicle causing damage to the drivers door. Driver did not stop.

8:48 am – Drayton Valley, 49 Street – Theft from truck – Report of theft of light bar from Black 2010 Gmc Sierra 1500. Door handle broken off.

9:48 am – Brazeau County – Theft from vehicle – Complainant reports that driver and passenger side windows were broken on their vehicle. Ipad, hunting bag, binoculars, trail cameras, range finder and wireless headset stolen.

4:15 pm – Drayton Valley, Drayton Valley Ford – Theft from vehicle – Report that while parked, their Silver Ford F150 had the window broken in and hand tools, pressure gauges and oilfield tools taken.

6:01 pm – Brazeau County – Suspicious person – Report of a vehicle driving slowly around the area. Vehicle was observed in neighbours yard as well as complainants yard.

10:26 pm – Drayton Valley, Lyda Logging – Recovered vehicle – Report of a red ford crew cab with tidy tank in the back was observed was in the yard. Member attended and located a stolen Ford F150 with one occupant. Female occupant was arrested for possession of stolen property.

November 27

2:12 am – Drayton Valley, Greenwood Trailer Court – suspicious person – Report of a suspicious person on their deck. Sounded like they were trying to get into the trailer. Suspect described as tall, skinny wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a red hat.

3:18 am – Drayton Valley, Theater – Fire – Member on patrol located a dumpster fire outside the Theatre in Drayton Valley. Fire Department called.

7:10 am – Drayton Valley, 54 Avenue – Break and Enter – Report of a break and enter between 3 am and 4 am.

12:26 pm – Brazeau county – Theft of snowmobiles – Report of theft of 2 arctic cat snowmobiles. Suspect vehicle was a Black Ford Truck with a trailer. Members patrolled the area looking for suspect vehicle, vehicle located on a lease site in Breton area, both snowmobiles recovered along with a stolen trailer. Timothy Leneveu, 24, arrested and charged.

1:16 pm – Cynthia – Damage to fence – Report of damage to a fence sometime between Friday and Tuesday. A hole had been cut into a fence on a jobsite. Nothing stolen.

2:19 pm – Drayton Valley RV Park – Abandoned vehicle – Report of a white 2011 Ford F350 abandoned. Member attended, vehicle stolen from Willows Construction.

4:28 pm – Brazeau County – Theft from vehicle – Report of theft of doors and seats from 2001 Ford F150. 

5:01 pm – Lodgepole – Stolen vehicle – Peace officer requested assistance as they had a stolen vehicle stopped. Driver arrested for possession of stolen property

November 28

6:42 am – Drayton Valley, 53 Avenue – Hit and Run – Complainant reporting hit and run to their 2002 Blue Dodge Caravan sometime overnight. Damage to front bumper and drivers side.

12:10 pm – Drayton Valley, 56 Avenue – Damage to vehicle – Report of damage to their black 2009 Dodge Ram while parked in the Northwell Oilfield Hauling yard.

3:49 pm – Drayton Valley, Omniplex – Theft from vehicle – Report of theft of wallet, computer and computer case, daytimer, gas fleet card stolen from an ARC resources vehicle while parked in front of the Omniplex.
