The City of Red Deer is getting set to make mobile payments available on a trial basis at some downtown lots. The mobile payment option will be accessible at both Sorenson Station Parkade and parking lot P4, located at the corner of 49 Avenue and 49 Street, using the Way to Park app.

The app is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play and allows users to pay for their parking, extend their meter time, and keep track of receipts and parking history all from their phone.

“We’re excited to launch the mobile payment option,” said Fred Dieno, Parking Coordinator, “We have been asked to provide this service and feel that the Way to Park app provides users with an intuitive and easy to use system.”

The service will begin with Sorenson Station Parkade and Lot P4 and will extend to other lots when the remaining Pay and Display machines are replaced. More information on the Way to Park app can be found at
