Rocky Mountain House RCMP report for Nov. 15-22

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE- RCMP have released the following report for the week of November 15-22.

2018-11-15 at 4:25 P.M. – Suspicious vehicle reported on Range Road 5-0 & Twp Rd 39-1 Clearwater County. Vehicle described as a blue Chev suv/minivan type vehicle.

2018-11-15 at 7:52 P.M. – Complaint of “Fraud” as complainant received an email in which someone requested $800 it bit coins or her personal information would be distributed.  Complainant did not fall for the scam and matter to be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center.

2018-11-15 at 8:09 P.M. – Report of intoxicated young males near 50 Ave & 48 St. in Rocky trying to remove man hole covers. Subjects left the area prior to police arrival.

2018-11-16 at 4:41 A.M. – Call of a stranded motorist on Highway 22 after he hit the ditch.  Police attended and gave the driver a ride to a Rocky hotel.

2018-11-16 at 10:26 A.M. – Vehicle broken into in Rocky. Numerous items stolen including two rifle clips, a box of bullets, head lamp, elk call, first aid kit, tool set, and several small hunting tools. 

2018-11-17 at 5:46 A.M. – Theft of a white Chev 1500 pickup ( blue roof) stolen overnight from a Rocky trucking company, along with a trailer and skid-steer. GPS showed it was in the Banff area. The units were recovered in Golden B.C. The suspect was able to evade police and steal another pickup, a 2012 white Dodge Ram, Alberta licence plate BFY-9096. He is still at large.

2018-11-17 at 12:46 P.M. – Theft of a blue 2001 Dodge Ram, extended cab, pickup, Alberta licence plate EYL730, from the museum in Rocky during the Farmer’s Market. Inside the box was a slip tank, a red tool box, and a white tool box.

2018-11-17 at 1:26 P.M. – Attempted B&E to residence in Rocky. Under investigation.

2018-11-17 at 8:51 P.M. – Report of an intoxicated male on the side of the road on the southwest side of Rocky, puking over the rail.  Subject left prior to police arrival.

2018-11-18 at 1:20 P.M. – Vehicle broken into overnight on the north side of Rocky. Radar and GPS unit stolen. 

2018-11-18 at 4:20 P.M. – Vehicle broken into overnight on the north side of Rocky. Some change and documents stolen.
