Women Standing Together to raise awareness of domestic violence

Raising awareness about domestic violence is the goal behind a special wine and cheese evening in Rocky Mountain House next week.

Women Standing Together will take place at the Lou Soppit Community Centre November 13 with what is described as an amazing lineup of speakers and entertainment, including wine and a chocolate fountain.

The women-only event aims to bring women together in taking action in preventing domestic violence in the community.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with tickets available at the Mountain Rose Women’s Shelter.

Tickets are $25 each and for cost-recovery purposes only.
