Castor senior killed in crash on Highway 12

CORONATION- RCMP are investigating a fatal crash in Paintearth County on Thursday morning.

At approximately 10  a.m., Coronation RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 12.

Preliminary investigation has revealed a pickup truck was heading southbound on a range road and proceeded from a controlled intersection at Highway 12 and collided with an eastbound semi.

The driver and lone occupant of the pickup, a 77-year-old man from Castor, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
