Alberta High School Football week 7 power rankings

The weekly Football Alberta top ten rankings are now out for week seven and it was a fairly successful week for local teams.

The Tier 1 Lindsay Thurber Raiders (6-1) defeated cross-town rival Notre Dame 32-2, and jump one spot to 8th in the power rankings.

With the loss, the Cougars are unlisted in the Tier 2 rankings.

However, Hunting Hills (4-2) picked up a big Tier 2 win over Lacombe 14-3 and remain ranked 7th. Lacombe also didn’t make the cut.

In Tier 3, the HJ Cody Lakers (4-2) beat West Central out of Rocky Mountain House 42-0 and move one spot up to 6th.

In Tier 4, Stettler (6-0) trounced Camrose 43-0 and keep a hold on the #2 spot.

Ponoka (3-2) did not play this week.

In 6-man action, Rimbey (3-1) earned victory over 1st ranked Breton (4-1) 24-22. Rimbey remains locked in at 4th in the power rankings.

Caroline fell to 0-4 with a 52-36 loss to Millwoods Christian.

This week’s Game of the Week features a 6-man matchup between the now #1 ranked St. Joseph’s Crusaders out of Brooks and #2 Breton Cougars who will face off Tuesday night at MEGlobal Athletic Park in Lacombe.

The top two teams in the province will kick-off at 6 p.m.
