Red Deer Kinsmen 2018 dream home open for viewing

Oct 13, 2018 | 5:30 PM

The 2018 Kinsmen Dream Home, a $750,000 creation of True-Line Homes in Red Deer’s Laredo neighbourhood, is now open for public viewing.

Tickets for the main draw are available until December 31.

Chris Klassen, Red Deer Kinsmen Club Vice President, says as always, all the money raised through the lottery, its other draws and the 50/50, stay local.

“Purchases from this project go to help so many organizations, groups and service clubs that need help for funding,” Klassen says. “Whether it’s at the hospital in the NICU, or at the Red Deer Food Bank making sure kids have meals for school, or that kid who needs a little extra financial help so they can play the trombone for the symphony orchestra.”

In addition to the dream home lottery, there are several smaller prizes available to be won, including a Ford Mustang, as well as up to $150,000 from the 300k 50/50 draw.

“The Kinsmen have a fantastic name, but not just us, the Kinettes as well. We have a very strong relationship with the community. People see our names on a lot of stuff and understand the importance of the service groups here in town,” Klassen adds. “But we couldn’t do this project without our trades, our homebuilders, sponsors and all the people who purchase the tickets. We appreciate it very much.”

The dream home is located at 157 Longmire Close and is open for viewing Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. until Dec. 31.
