Search warrant in Rimbey area leads to four arrests

RCMP in Rimbey have successfully executed a search warrant on a local property.

Items recovered during the recent operation include numerous vehicles, a trailer, stolen property and firearms.

The property recovered has been linked to numerous vehicle thefts and break and enters throughout central Alberta. Police say there is also evidence of a chop shop.

During the warrant and ensuing investigation, Rimbey detachment was supported by Ponoka GIS and the Serious Crime Branch South.

Three males and one female were arrested as a result of the warrant.

RCMP note in a release that the tips they receive from the public drive their evidence-led initiatives and assist with the deplyment of resources. Reporting crime leads to tangible results and creates safer and more engaged communities, they say.
