A woman with a record of cruelty toward animals made her latest appearance in Red Deer provincial court on Tuesday.

Karin Adams faces charges of mischief, criminal harassment, intimidation, driving without a valid license and two counts of breach of recognizance in relation to an incident that took place on July 27. Details of the incident have not been released. She pleaded not guilty on these counts Tuesday and trial has been scheduled for Feb. 7, 2019.

Adams, who is 46, is also charged after eight distressed dogs were seized from an Innisfail motel room on July 17. She is slated for trial on Nov. 7 on counts of harbouring more than three dogs, mischief, personating a peace officer, eight counts of fail to obtain a dog license, trespassing and driving without a valid license.

Currently being held in custody, Adams had been released with multiple conditions including a prohibition from owning, having the custody or control of or being in the same premise of any animal. She was arrested in August on four counts of breaching her recognizance. Trial for these counts is to take place on May 1, 2019.
