Rocky Mtn. House RCMP Report: Sept 20-25

Below is the weekly report from Rocky Mtn. House RCMP for Sept. 25 – 25:

 

On September 20 at 3:36 p.m. oil lease battery thefts worth $1800 were reported in Clearwater County.

On September 21 at 4:20 a.m. a vehicle was stopped for going 105 km/h in a 60 km/h zone along highway 11 in Rocky Mountain House. The drive was charged and given a 24 hour suspension.

On September 21 at 11:07 a.m. police received a complaint of an assault on O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended, arrested and charged a man who was released for a later court date.

On September 21 at 11:34 a.m. a burnt out truck was located on a least site on Beaver Flats road in Clearwater County. An investigation revealed that the pickup had been stolen from the Rimbey area a day prior.

On September 22 at 5:53 a.m. police received a report of an assault on O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested an adult male who lodged in cells until sober and released for a later court date.

On September 22 at 12:26 p.m. police received a report of a break and enter at a residence on O’Chiese First Nation where a 70” television was stolen. It’s currently under investigation.

On September 22 at 4:49 p.m. an ATV was stolen from outside a residence in Clearwater County on Range Road 5-5 near Township road 38-4. It was a 2009 red Yamaha Grizzily 700.

On September 23 at 2:49 a.m. police received a report of a stolen green 1997 Ford F150 from the Caroline area with the license plate 85M542.

On September 23 at 3:31 a.m. police received a report of an impaired driver on Highway 11 near Condor after the vehicle was observed swerving and driving below the speed limit. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested after providing breath samples over twice the legal limit. Charges are currently pending.

On September 23 at 9:05 p.m. police received a complaint of a man walking out on a $230 bar tab at a Rocky Mountain House pub.

On September 23 at 11:30 p.m. police received a complaint of a male smashing up a house on Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated man with outstanding warrants.

On September 24 at 12:31 p.m. police received a report of a black Chevy pickup driving through a farmer’s canola field on Range Road 4-4 and Township Road 42-0 in Clearwater County causing damage in the crop.

On September 24 and 5:48 p.m. police received a complaint of fraud as the complainant gave access to their computer to someone claiming to be from Geek Sport Tech. The caller obtained their banking information, and asked them to buy I-tunes cards. It’s currently under investigation.

On September 25 at 1:10 a.m. police received a complaint of an intoxicated man driving a pickup entering a convenience store in Rocky. Police attended and located the man, who said he was getting a coffee and heading to Grande Prairie. Open alcohol was discovered inside the vehicle and as a result his vehicle was seized, he was arrested and given a 24 hour driving suspension.

On September 25 3:24 a.m. police observed a vehicle parked in a field southwest of Rocky Mountain House. The driver had been smoking marijuana and as a result had their vehicle seized with a 24 hour suspension.
