Rocky Mountain House town council has created a land development task force to address its strategic plan goal of having land available for all types of development.

The land development task force will include all members of council with administrative and technical support from the senior management team, as per its terms of reference.

The task force was given final approval at Tuesday’s council meeting.

Council accepted the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance’s 2017-2018 report for information at their meeting on Tuesday.
 
Council will make a funding decision as part of its 2019 budget deliberations.
 
The alliance, which is supported by more than 40 municipalities along the North Saskatchewan watershed, is requesting an allocation of 50 cents per capita.

Council reviewed municipal franchise fees currently in place for Atco and Fortis and decided not to make any changes for 2019.

The Town’s new Senior Community Peace Officer, Brandon Smailes, has been appointed Taxi License Inspector.
