Olds Grizzlys begin season with loss to Calgary

The Olds Grizzly kicked off their AJHL season Friday night in front of over 800 fans at the Olds Sportsplex.

Unfortunately, it was a losing effort as the Grizzlys were downed 5-1 by the Calgary Mustangs.

Calgary jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on first period powerplay goals.

Olds drew within one in the second with a powerplay marker of their own, but the Mustangs scored twice in just over a minute to pull away.

They capped it off with one more insurance goal in the final minute of the game.
