Rocky RCMP Weekly Report: September 6 – 10

Three people were lodged in police cells this week, two that were under the influence of alcohol, and one under the influence of meth.

Here’s more from the latest weekly report from Rocky Mtn. House RCMP:

On September 6 at 7:17 p.m., police received a complaint from a Rocky resident that he was defrauded out of $3000 worth of iTunes cards. The situation was referred to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

On September 6 at 8:31 p.m., police received a complaint of a disturbance and threats at a residence in Clearwater County. Police attended and arrested one man who was lodged in cells until sober.

On September 7 at 5:00 p.m., a blue 700 Polaris ATV was stolen from a residence on Township Road 39-2 and Range Rose 72-0 in Clearwater County. Police are investigating.

On September 7 at 9:18 p.m., police received a call of a suspicious vehicle with a broken back window in a ditch in Leslieville. Police located the vehicle which wasn’t registered or insured. One man was arrested and released when sober with violation tickets.

On September 8 at 5:13 a.m., a grey 2014 Dodge Durango with the license plate BPW-4635 was stolen from a residence on Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

On September 8 at 8:41 p.m., police received a report of an intoxicated male trying to start a fight at a residence on Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested the man who was also high on meth. He was released when sober.

On September 9 at 8:46 p.m., police received a report of a break and enter to a lease site south of Brazeau Dam on Sunchild Road. The gat lock was cut, a trail winder was smashed, a SeaCan container was opened and a computer was stolen.

On September 9 at 11:12 a.m., a chainsaw and an air compressor were stolen from a shed at a residence on Highway 761 in Clearwater County. The suspects were likely scared off by dogs, and the items were recovered in the backyard. A suspicious white Ford F250 with a slip tank was seen in the area overnight.

On September 9 at 1:27 p.m., tires, rims, oil and grease were stolen overnight from outbuildings on Highway 591.

On September 10 at 1:30 p.m., a quad trailer, chainsaws, generator and various tools were stolen from a residence in Horburg.
