49 Avenue repaving to wrap-up this weekend

Red Deer motorists can expect to see more paving work at the north end of downtown this weekend.

On Saturday, city officials say 49 Avenue will close from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. between 53 Street and 55 Street to complete planned paving.

The work however is weather dependent so if conditions are not suitable, the paving may be delayed until Sunday.

Traffic will be detoured to 48 Avenue while paving is in process.

Drivers are reminded to slow down through construction zones while pedestrians are asked to obey all signs.
