Mustard Seed hosting Employment Readiness Fair for Red Deer’s homeless

Aug 22, 2018 | 6:27 AM

The Mustard Seed is hosting an Employment Readiness Fair to help Red Deer’s homeless lift themselves out of poverty and homelessness, and into independent living.

Organizers say the event on Tues. Aug. 28 will provide those in need with the necessary skills to succeed through mock interviews, resume and cover letter support, career counselling, and more.

“Our guests frequently experience barriers to employment when reintegrating into the workforce. At the Employment Readiness Fair, our guests can learn new skills, but also build professional connections with one another,” says Byron Bradley, Managing Director of The Mustard Seed.

Several employment professionals are taking part in the event — Diversified Staffing Services, MC College, Dress for Success Central Alberta, and Career Assistance Network.
