LETHBRIDGE – A teenaged girl is facing charges of impaired driving and dangerous driving, after a series of collisions in north Lethbridge Thursday morning (Aug.16).

Police say just after 4 a.m. they responded to a report that a vehicle had hit a fence along the 2000 Blk. of 19 Avenue North. The vehicle then hit a second fence, headed south along the alley and then hit the 7-Eleven building on 23 Street North, before colliding with a police vehicle.

The officer whose vehicle was hit, arrested the teen and took her into custody. She was then taken to Chinook Regional Hospital where she was tested, found to be impaired and charged.

The officer suffered minor injuries, however the police cruiser was extensively damaged.
