Mounties in Ponoka are touting the benefits of reporting suspicious activity to police following the arrest of a 32-year-old man who now faces 95 charges in relation to a stolen property investigation.

On August 8, RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a commercial location on 46 Avenue in Ponoka.

It’s alleged a male suspect at the scene was siphoning fuel from a piece of heavy equipment, with police determining the vehicle was stolen.

As a result, Mounties seized other stolen items including license plates, mail, tools and a stereo.
