Red Deer U19 Rage finish 4th at Westerns

UNITY, SK – The U19B Aesthetic Solutions Rage Fastball team finished fourth, at the Western Canadian Softball Championships in Unity, SK over the weekend. 

The Rage lost 9-6 to the Melfort Spirit in the 3rd vs 4th game.

The Rage picked up a pair of wins Sunday that put them into a four way tie for 1st place among the nine participating teams. 

All teams had a 4-2 record but Rage sat fourth due to runs for & against. 

They defeated the host and eventual tournament winners Unity Panthers 5-4 and Melfort Spirit 6-4.

The loss to Melfort in the playoff round knocked Rage out of the tournament putting them fourth in Western Canada. 

The Rage will have to settle for the fact that they have not lost to the Champion Unity Panthers in the four times they played each other.

All the players on the U19 team are underaged and could return for another crack at the title next season.
