A stormy Wednesday across Alberta

Aug 2, 2018 | 8:12 AM

BEAVERLODGE- Mother Nature caused some anxious moments yesterday as some Alberta communities faced the furry of intense rain storms and the threat of a tornado.

Storms in the Beaverlodge area dumped torrents of rain and hail that caused flooding and temporarily forced the closure of some roads.

Lightning also sparked an oilfield battery to catch fire between Bezanson and Clairmont.

The blaze was contained to the lease site.
