RCMP investigating fatal crash west of Olds

One woman is dead following a crash on HIghway 27 west of Olds on Saturday.

RCMP say it happened around 3:15 pm when Mounties responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 27 west of Olds, just east of Highway 766. 

Police say a truck and travel trailer collided with a car, sending a child to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An adult female was pronounced dead on scene.

Officials with 511 Alberta report the MVC has now been cleared and all lanes have been reopened as of 12:37 a.m. on Sunday.

Mounties say no further information is available at this time.
