Airdrie man charged following weapons seizure
CALGARY- The Canada Border Services Agency and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have arrested and charged an Airdrie man with allegedly importing unlawful weapons into Canada.
CBSA officers from the Calgary Commercial team intercepted a parcel from Hong Kong that was declared as flashlights on July 10.
The parcel was examined, and officers found six conducted energy weapons inside the package.
Conducted energy weapons, similar to a Taser, are prohibited in Canada.
